    I get it, the point of multiplayer games are the PvP, but minecraft (and TMD in special) have a unique feature to turn PvE amazing.

    See, why there are so many few people really trying to "survive" out there? 85% of every active players on PvE are into RP, trading and just talking. Maybe 15% of those are out there in their cars, gathering zombie hordes to kill and find some loot, but that's it, once you get autosuficient with your supplies.

    So, as a PvE lover I will try to list things that might bring some shine on surviving!

    • Predictability: Zombies are dangerous except when you find some tier 2~3 armor. You may even have the worst guns, one single headshot will take them down, no exceptions. I think we could have some of a variety of zombies: faster (but not so strong), slower (but stronger, like those riot prison guards, dead military etc), dead civilians that mighty spawn inside a house or compound. This will boost the dynamics inside a situation, more people would actually die by zombies and not in some random barbed wire because he was doing some silly parkour over a bridge (first time I died lol). Also a lot of people suggested to return the hordes, I didn't play when you had this but boy, that would be insanely awesome!
    • Consistency: A lot of weapons are incredible fun, but it gets kinda boring when you know what works. Get the cheapest most accurate ones, some clips and done, you'll have your exploration guarenteed. No one will get their expensive gatlings out there if we can't take them down easily, plus LMG clips are expensive. Get yourself an M4 (tier 1), glock 17 (tier 2) with some clips and done, high accuracy, high capacity, kill hundreds. Maybe the zombie varieties might help (sometimes you'll need accuracy, or overpower, or fire etc);
    • Scavenging: The awesome thing about the TWD universe it's the survival aspect that we know from Minecraft. You can't just find some neat loots, sit by and dominate the whole place, you need to think, search, stabilish some limits, build yourself a defensive perimeter. It would be awesome if we really would have to scavenge our own food, hunt, fish, cook it. Sure, rarelly we could find some canned soup/beans buts that some lucky stuff. I'm not saying to wipe all the system we know but maybe tweak some parameters to make those top-tier foods to be rare, so that would be a reason to always be outdoors, scavenging, gathering valuable survivability stuff and not just because we are all bored inside Berx (we would need to fix the old furnaces, coals etc).
    Also, I have some other suggestions:

    Zombies could drop some interesting stuff, so it would be more fun to hunt them down instead of only trying to reach 10, 50, 100k zombie kills. They could drop ammo, a weapon, a prison-guard could drop a riot part.
    Some weapons could be a little more tweaked:

    Would be possible to have a worn-out system, like in melee weapons? A worned out (mud, rust etc) M4 would jam a lot (but not an AK 47). That would make scavange a lot more fun since we would want mint conditions weapons (since they are so expensive at the NPCs).

    SMGs should have a faster rate of fire but with a low-energy bullet. I mean its easy to spray a great area but with low accuracy and damage. That would fit for that kind of player who likes to get to close combats and shoot everything that moves!

    Assault rifles are supposed to be one of the most lethal weapons. They are deadly accurate with a lethal power. An AK47 may not be that accurate but surelly is as powerful as a lot of hunting rifles. This would be perfect for players who prefer to travel light but make every shot count.

    Pistols are very accurate because of their size and being semi-automatics. They might not have a good fire power but are quickly to draw, light and reliable.

    Well if you made through here I'm sorry for the mistakes, it's been a while since I didn't write in english. Plus its 2:24 am here lol. I'd appreciate any interesting aditional ideals to make PvE more pleasable!

    i dont even play pve but i love the ideas! i really like the idea of scavenging and zombie drops, not to mention i love the worn out system, so rusty, mud-covered guns hidden in a barn could be a thing. (they need to make guns WWWAAAAYYYY rarer, like "oh no he has a legend" to "OH SHIT HES GOT A GUN! HES GOT A GUN! IDC IF ITS AN M9 IM OUT!")

    A Variety of zombie, consistency of weapons, harder scavenging, and a worn-out system...!

    I think your ideas are awesome! I will publish them right away on my new actuality page on http://the-mining-dead.wikia.com/wiki/Actuality ! Myself I was wondering how It could be if HAVOCMC used more textures for the surrounding. Like a zombie who lost his legs could be a "wolf" with a damaged human skin.

    About zombie drops or just equipped zombie, I already have a blogs on the matter : http://the-mining-dead.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Alcool007/In-game_Print_screen. So thk for your suggestions :)

    These are GREAT ideas! This will not only make TMD PvE servers better, but a little more challenging...

    Glad you like guys!

    Recently they've been talking about a Survival dedicated server, so it would be cool to bring all these concepts from real life to increase the variables in PvE!
    I've been playing in other survival servers and a pretty cool solution would be if could limit our (now) powerful hotkeys to become something like a belt or things that are carried in holsters or slings. The picture I have for this struggle is something like we see in the show and in many other games: It's possible to have a quicky access to 3 things: Primary weapon (like a rifle, SMG, LMG, shotgun etc), secondary (concealable firearm) like pistols, revolvers and the melee, like knifes, machetes and so. It could be replaced by special category, instead of carrying knifes you could sling a crossbow or a sword, for example.

    I don't know how many speed effects can we have (is it limited to the buffs available in minecraft core?), but it would be pretty cool to get some realism with our mobility too (this is just an idea, don't know how well that would impact in actual gameplay):

    • Primary weapons would always give you a penalty based on its weight: you could easily run with an UZI or MP5, but would you with a m16 or barret rifle?
    • Maybe having a empty slot in your hotbar would work like a trade-off: We have a very limited inventory slots but, selecting the empty hands you could get a small speed buff (similar to Speed lvl 1), you wouldn't be able to fight off zombies but would be usefull for sprinting for one point to another;
    Also some other stuff I've been thinking but forgot to put it before:
    • The sound is an extreme factor that we don't have here! Firing a m4 inside a compound could be the difference between life and death, this would bring a whole new aspect for melee/crossbow, besides only being useful for its ammo;
    • Day/night could bring some interesting aspects rather then aesthetics: Zombies could spawn closer (and faster) nearby you, something like "it was too dark to spot him!". That would be dangerous but quite rewarding if you were for their loots;
    • It would be FREAKING AWESOME to have human hostile!. Skeleton archers could be reskinned like Saviors, they could show up with crossbows. Husk and Vindicators could be reskinned as The Wolfs, using sharp weapons and sprinting towards you!

    don't know guys just giving some ideas here, there's plenty of ideas to make PvE challenging but not that impossible, it's a matter of compensate that player who go out and risk himself to find some goodies!

    I like the ideas mostly. Personally, I wouldn't be a fan of faster and some special types of zombies. This is because in the show The Walking Dead, their aren't really any special types of zombies. So, in my opinion, I think it would be best to keep the zombies as accurate to the show as possible.

    I used to totally agree with you but I realized there's a lot of situations where this is simply not the case:

    - Yeah, TWD is about the survival aspect in a realistic way, but how realistic is the actual meta? Running and jumping-dodging with a golden weapon that can one-shot someone in the leg (if it does now have full riot/jugg)?
    - Spamming painkillers, that would result in a stroke in any normal human being?
    - Cars/bikes inside a folder? A loot bag? The fact that you can stack 64 cars in a single slot inside your backpack but cant stack 2 glocks?
    - Finding a sh*tload of food in absolute fine conditions after a zombie apocalypse? Drinking water in any abandoned kitchen sink?
    - Also, that easy to find meds, like medpacks and antibiotics??

    I could go on and on but I did in some past posts when I was more active in the server but it's redundancy. The point is everytime there's some considered option to improve the PvE it goes agasint the PvP part, which is more an arcade approach of the TWD world.
    And I believe this is a server's options, I've been to some servers where you can really feel the struggle, like:

    - When you suffer a fall damage, you get slowed but some time. If it's too much, you are crippled (and screwed)
    - Your backpack is absolute limited to the necessary: some shells, food and drinking water and some meds (if you're lucky)
    - No arcady-bs carrying any ammount of guns: only 3 in your hotbar (primary + secondary + melee)
    - Also: heavy guns means heavy, you can't run and jump like a cat. Maybe you can do it with a pistol but not with a barret .50 cal
    - Zombies can EASILY outnumber you: thats a zombie apocalypse and you (the players) are in absolute numerical disadvantage. This means they can respawn really quickly where you are not seeing, but also some varieties like the zombie-kid (much faster), zombie wearing armor-parts (one-shot resistent) etc.
    - Also, zombies are allowed to spawn inside many buildings, make loot exploration much more difficult. It should be a conscious choice not just randomly getting inside any building just to be afk.
    - Multiple infection-related bruises: from an arm/leg bite (easily fixed) to a neck bite (hard one)

    The current minecraft client allows some deep servers variables, thats a fact. The problem isn't the realism, is the game being like 85% focused in the PvP aspect, where zombie apocalypse and TWD realism is just bs - all that matters is bunny hoping with full jug + golden weapon spamming pains. I believe the last time I told these stuff some staff said something about bringing a "TMD Realism" back or something like this, I wasn't here prior 1/1/2017 so I don't know what is about, but if was something along these lines, hell yeah this server would rock, no doubt about it.
